UNRWA NCD – An App That Provides Health Education

The UNRWA NCD Mobile Application, is designed to provide a service to registered patients of UNRWA health centers and to any Arabic-speaking person anywhere in the world. The application aims to support the management of NCDs, namely diabetes and hypertension, and their risk factors, and to reduce exposure of the patients to disability or premature death.

The application is built to provide a better understanding of the disease and the associated risk factors, and to enable the patients to monitor their health status and to educate themselves on how to live a healthy life. It will also support the patients in improving their health and quality of life, by providing them with information and instructions on how to manage their condition, how to live a healthy life, how to manage their risk factors, and how to maintain a normal weight. It will support the patients in managing their condition and their treatment, by providing them with the necessary medication and with the instructions on how to use it, and how to manage their blood pressure and their weight.
